11.16.09 - Tasers
The Vienna Police Department now has an extra tool on their belt, a taser.  The VPD has purchased 3 tasers for it's officers to carry.  The full story can be found here, along with video.

10.29.09 - Applications
The Vienna Police Department  is no longer accepting applications for employment.  Thanks to everyone who submitted an application.

10.31.08 - Duty Equip.
The Vienna Police Department recently acquired new holsters and tactical lights for all officers. The new lights are designed to attach to the officers pistol. The new holsters will accommodate both the pistol and light as one unit. This new system will aid officers in low light situations. Pictures can be seen here & here.

 6.16.08 - Accidents
The Vienna Police Department will be raising the cost of accident reports from $2 to $5 per report.  The state of WV has migrated to a longer report which has grown from 4 pages to 12, thus the additional cost.  The reports can be obtained from the hours of 7am-4pm M-F.

12.13.07 - Fingerprinting
**Notice** Effective Starting January 1st, 2008.  All fingerprinting will be done on Wednesday only from the hours of 8:30am - 4:30pm.  There will be no charge for this service.
